AS400/Mainframe Administration

Description:
This person would have to follow documented operational procedures and processes also perform system monitoring; Apply knowledge and skills to identify impacts to customer service. Determine the appropriate actions in response to impacts independently, providing support and guidance to the team. Identifies areas for improvements and make recommendations for enhancements and follow through to implementation team work oriented.

Qualifications

The candidate must have a background in computer science, a related discipline or equivalent work experience. At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Mainframe and/or AS400 administration.

* Able to work 4X3 week rotation weekend schedules. (day, night or graveyard shift)
* Professional interaction with internal Peers or customer (via phone, email or other messaging tools).
* Follow all processes and procedures, while acting on behalf of customers and in the best interest of the company. Must be a self-motivator and fast learner.
* Monitor environments and react to any and all significant alerts, incidents or outages within required time frames and/or contracted service levels.
* Mainframe and/or Nonstop skills and/or AS400 skills.
* Windows, Linux, UNIX is a plus
* ITIL knowledge is a plus
* Fluency in English is a must
